I've got the same exact color and tint you're talking about. 5% in the rear, 20% on the sides.

MAKE SURE THEY TINT YOUR 3RD BRAKE LIGHT

i run 5% on the rear on all my cars, then 20s on the side or 35 on the side. i love it. it looks very clean, don't worry, some people say it looks stupid uneven, but you dont get that when u do just the rear

thanks a lot for the pics corrosion. do you have any pictures from the sides? legal tint over here in CA is 70% fronts and anything in the back. but i think 20-35% wouldnt cause much of a problem with the police as long as it doesnt look riced out

Wrong, here in CA we're not allowed to even have ANY kind of tint on the sides or the windshield, but on the rears it's however dark you want it to be.

I've been pulled over a few times with my car tinted like this but I roll down my window as soon as I do get pulled over, no cop has ever said anything about it.

I'll snap a couple more side pics for ya in a minute.

i'm getting it done at a place called speedzone. it's only like 5 minutes away from my house. they're quoting me $190 for all 5 windows. i also asked them about the 3rd brake light and they said they can cover that for me too. it includes a lifetime warranty against any bubbling and peeling.

My CL has 35% on the sides and 20% in the rear. It was a Texas car. Here in Minnesota they don't allow more then 50% on the sides and rear. Could be trouble but as my mom's husband said (police sergeant), if they want to pull you over it doesn't matter how much tint you have, they can use it as a reason to pull you over.

If you get your vehicle tinted I suggest you get all the windows tinted the same tint all the way around, if you dont personally I think it looks kinda screwed up. In most states the tint restrictions are so light that you dont even need to waste the money on getting it tinted. I have 15 percent all the way around and have never been pulled or anything, but that is my opinion.

i think you should just get 20-25% all around...IMO, it looks stupid w/ 2 different shades of tint on a car....looks alot cleaner like that....

OrngeAc3.2: i would do 5% all around but its too much of a police magnet. i actually like how the dark rears look

yea i cant believe that you guys have 20% or more here in california.
we have harsher laws when it comes to things like this.

i know its a fix-it-ticket, but i heard after the 2nd offense it becomes a fine of $100+.

i am happy with what i have and think its perfect.
i got my car with the tint, and i believe it is 35% all around:

^..sun shining thru the windshield

and here's an oldie i use to use as a background :: FULL SIZEd

...sun shining from the rear

oh and i was pulled over at night a couple weeks ago(let off with a warning for all my infractions ), and he mentioned my tint and why i have it...
...but it was at night so its probably cause it looked darker. i got lucky he let me go!

if you're worried about the darkness of the car then ^^35% all around is the way to go...if you keep your visor for the sun-roof open it will look alot lighter....i have 20% all around and 35% on my windshield and with the visor open you can somewhat see in....but 35% all around is def the way to go-->lookin good vtec
