Why are sport cars so small......?

I went to the Honda dealership where my friend works, and they had a pretty blue S2000 sitting in the showroom. I thought "What the hell" and sat in it...OMG, this this is so cramped for me on the inside! I'm 6'4" and I can't even move my leg to hit the clutch! I was so disappointed, I've always loved the S2000, but now I've learned I can't own one. Fuck!

This also happened w/a Porsche Boxter, I sat in one at Carmax just for the hell of it, and I couldn't even close the door!

If Lamborghinis and Ferraris are like this....I don't know what I'm gonna buy when I'm 30.....

Minch, aren't you like 300lbs (forgive me if i'm wrong, which is entirely possible)? At 6'4", you are a VERY big guy. I don't see how you expected to fit in the s2000.

Yep, that's one of the reason's I own a CLS. Enough room, has a real back seat, and has enough balls to get me into trouble.

Minch, It's all about the power to weight ratio. Lighter weight, quicker car. I'd like to own something eventually that has a power to weight ratio under 10.

My CLS has a power to weight ratio of 13.25, my VW bus is something like 56 (3800 lbs with 67hp).

Here's a list of Power-to-Weight ratios of popular cars:

Dude, weight. The smaller the car, the more intense the driving experience. Too much mass furthers you from the feeling of being with the road.

I understand the weight, but honestly, will anyone use the fucking trunk in an S2000? Just make that smaller and give about 4-6" more leg room, and I'd be set.....

You are 6'4" tall, not that many vehicles out there you would feel comfortable sitting in them.

thats cool everyone should have a fun little beater to supplement the badass cars we drive

I have an '89 Geo Prism...i think 90 hp...dont remember...all i know is it rattles like hell at 70, and the spedometer only goes to 85

Course I'd probably pass you on the freeway if you were driving your bus
