Why Is My New CL-S making "Sighing" noises?
I am proud to announce I am the proud new owner of a Black/Parchment CL-S Navi as of Saturday. What an awesome package for the price. No doubt it is one of the best sport-tourers on the road. I plan to use it to explore the Rockies of the US and Canada for the next few months on a fantasy road trip. Leaving in a week! ![](http://www.acura-cl.com/ubb/smile.gif)
Anyhow, enough gushing.
Question for anybody that might know. Every few minutes or so, there is this noise that can be heard while driving, and radio off. Best way to describe is like a person exhaling slowly, or sighing. It lasts for maybe 2-4 seconds and stops. Seems to be coming from the dash area. Anybody heard this?

Try it with all air controls off - I do not know what this is in the CLS but it reminds me of my Mercedes which makes this type of noise when the climate control system kicks on or off.

I'd say with 99% certainity that it's your climate control system kicking in and out. Mine does the same thing. It's normal!

It's not normal, you car is alive and breathing, possibly possessed. Have it checked, better yet give it to me! Just kidding of course, enjoy the trip! You have a great car. PS: It's the climate control, try turning the compressor off, from the navi press off on the AC control.

Thanks for the responses. My initial inclination was the climate system also, or something to do with it cycling, so I am glad (I guess) to see others have it too. Not a real obvious or distracting sound, but this car is so darn quiet inside, one hears everything I suppose.
See yall on the road

Is that what it is??? The climate control kicking on and off....I thought that Honda just wanted us to feel special about our cars...like it sucked SO MUCH air that it had to blow it off....like a turbo..
