??
In some cars I've read about, it's nearly a second slower? I've always wondered about this.

The reason why 0-60 is faster than 5-60 is that when they start from a dead stop they rev it up and drop the clutch (with a manual) whereas from 5mph they just hit the gas. You can get up to speed quicker if you spin the tires a little at first.

TypeS, this board is full of people that will do anything to prove you an idiot no matter if you ask a question or if you are trying to post something in general. They are here for any other reason other than contributing.
You have 2 choices, either ignore them or leave this board. I chose the latter.

Thanks, Gavrill, I can always count on your informative posts and answers w/o the mud-slinging. Much appreciated.
LOL! I seriously wonder what these people are like in person --> I'm all about being the same person online as I am in person --> and after meeting some of the people at the Chicago meet, hehe.. let's just say online is a TOTALLY different story.

I can only imagine the face-to-face meet. Must have been one for the books.

I believe the answer lies in rolling resistance - a vehicle can better accelerate from a standing start than from a roll because since the tires are already rolling a little, they are harder to increase acceleration on.
I don't know the math/science behind it - ask gavrill or one of the other geeks around here.

GotTurbo, GotBrains? GotLife?
If you got a girlfriend we are all billionairs here.
By the way, your show off behavior has no limits I see. You had to show off that house in those pics didnt ya? Plus the Mercedes in that garage. Plus that you used to have an E46. What an ass. So showing off in the S4 and BMW boards gives you no more satisfaction ah?
Instead of being running with your tail under your legs for Acura creating an engine that makes more power than yours without forced feeding, you come here and try to be a smart ass. Dont even get me started with that screen name. GotTurbo. What kinda rice crap is that?
