Who here will honestly trade up for a 2003?
Sorry, but I don't think I will.
I have my second and final interview with worldcom on tuesday, and I'll probably get this position.
I'm selling my type S in 1 more year for a 2003 //M3, Laguna Seca Blue, and me and my girl will be keeping the rover when she gets an IS300.
Sorry gang, the rotors FUCKING SUCK on this car, and they'll probably be the same on the new ones.

IS300 huh, i work at a lexus dealer, just wait..........................
and as far as BMW they don't have a warranty..........NONE NEEDED, they have no service departments, nothing ever breaks
i'm a little disapointed and somewhat glad about the changes on the new CL and CLS - dissapointed because i was told "Big" changes - yeah there are some good things that changed, - but i'm a little bit glad becuase i have 2 1/2 years left on my lease so my car still looks current

Very true.
I hope our cars are still in style when the new ones come out!

When the SMG comes, I'm going to be very excited...
Mine has been fine (knock on plastic wood)...
I expect that the car will be around a while with the low miles (per year) and if I continue to have no problems.
If they [Acura] come out with a SMG version -- look for the fly-by-wire throttle as a prerequisite -- I'll be doing some long and hard thinking about it...
Probably 2005-2006 (solenoids, electronics and hydraulics willing)
(I do miss RWD at times...)

i probably wouldn't switch...i mean i want a stick but i wouldn't want it for my daily driving. i think i just want the new headlights and maybe the taillights...i'll have to see in person whether i like them or not...that trims kinda nasty though i'd rather have carbon fiber orsomething

I am going to sit tight until the 2nd year that a AWD model is released. I have the 7 year warranty so I have no worries.
Things I still like better with the 2001 model:
- I like the larger mirrors
- I like the 2-tone mirrors (silver/black for me).
- I like the rims
- I like the rear all-red taillights
- happy with the interior
(I am still waiting for that RES)

I WANT a stick back. Sport shift just ain't the same. I still owe $5300 on my 01 CL-S. I plan to have it paid off by April. I want to buy a condo and getting rid of the car loan is key to qualifying for the mortgage. So unless I can save some cash or find alternate financing (low interest credit card teaser rate?) the 6 speed won't happen. I want it, but I want a condo more.

i cant believe how the same it looks...they could have eticed more buyers if they changed the face a little more...its still a hott car none the less...if i had a 00, 01 CL i wouldnt go off selling my car for this one...its ridiculous...practically the same car...well you guys got off lucky this time...Shyne

I'm pretty sure I will be upgrading to a 2003 CL-S. Will probably wait until around May to see if Infiniti will ball up and build a G35 coupe.
Of course, I am driving a 96 240SX, so it would be quite an improvement! :P

The only thing i saw in the new CL that i liked was the placement of the E-brake.. I dont think i'll be trading mine in any time soon
I'll either go back to VW (Audi) or get a TL-S. Hope they dont screw that one up also :P

No switch here. The 6 speed is not enough even with LSD.
My next car will be a 6 speed but either AWD or RWD. Also the '03 interior is screaming CHEAP!!!! Fake plastic wood is one thing, but fake plastic Aluminum all over the place:shakehd:

Thanks SinnedTL - i hate it when people think any car company is exempt from repairs and breakdowns, nobody wants them, but they do happen, - my dad used to tell me back in the 40-50's you had to rebuild your engine like around 20,000 miles, - even though cars breakdown occasionally - we have come a long way

Yeah, but for Acura to knowingly resurface my rotors, and for something to be so common. If this was Lexus, they would have put NEW rotors on the car.
Also, they wouldn't have bullshitted me about the rotors only being covered to 25K miles, I got it in writing from another dealership that it was covered to 50K miles.
Acura dealerships, are for the most part, full of shit. They don't focus enough on QUALITY, like Lexus, BMW, Or Mercedes Benz, and these seem to be some of their main competitiors.

I dunno. I really wanted a manual at first but then I realized that I could afford it but would really take a financial hit now and be paying out the ass for a while. I'm only 23 and on my way to 24 so I really should be super excited to have the car i have right now. None of my friends have anything close to my car. I'm doing pretty well and i should be happy with what I have but you only live life once. BUT, dang, that 6speed looks sooooo tempting especially with the agressive gearing. I don't know. In the end, unless the price is really good i probably won't get it. I will wait for the redesign and hope that they will continue with the 6speed and add AWD but will still purchase if they have FWD. I think my desire for performance will probably be better suited in autocrossing so in the end i might just by something
