I didn't buy toyos again because I wanted to try a different tire for my east coast driving plus I got a hell of a deal on the pirellis... I will buy the toyos again once these pirellis need to be replaced though, they definitely don't have the same grip the toyos did, although they are still VERY nice tires...

There's a 01/02 CL-S at a dealership by my house with 245/45/17's on stock wheels and it is definitely lowered. maybe if I get achance I'll look if it's still back there and snap a couple pics. Surprisingly the tire didnt look like it buldged too much at all, but the tires did look MUCH wider than the stockers.

some guys from some tire shot told me if you put 235/45/17 on a wheel that is 17 X 7, the tire will bulge out in the middle a little more since it only has 7" to play with.... is that true or will it work just fine? The other thing I noticed that 17 X 8 wheels normally cost $100 more than 17 X 7, is it really worth to move up to 17 X 8 or can I stay with 17 X 7 and get 235/45/17 on there with no probs?

You should be fine wit h235's. More than a couple people on here have put 235's on the stock wheels and said they looked fine. I have 235's on 17x7.5 wheels and there is no buldge at all, and I would be very surprised if 1/2" less would make a significant difference.
