--most HP was the same guy "who is building the race car"...his name is thinjim.
before his drag CL, he had the turbo 6speed CL i sent you a video of that made 464whp, stock internals, 10psi...i dont think he ever got a 1/4 mile time down, nor was it easy to launch that car!
--also way back in the day was scalbert who fabricated an Intercooler that worked in unison with the Comptech S/C. heres what I learned:
regular S/C pulley = ~3psi = 300whp (6speed)
High Boost Pulley = ~6psi = 335whp (6speed)
S/C + intercooler = ~9psi = it had to be 375-390whp (6speed)...i forget.
--in terms of people that used it, I recall an Automatic CL that had the following Major mods: 3.5Liter Stroke, Comptech Supercharger, and Scalbert Intercooler...he never dynoed, never went to the track I believe. (it was the "pimp daddy gold" color i believe if anyone knows his name).
--one guy in Chicago who recently sold his CL had EVERY modification that was for a N/A setup (i.e. no FI)...+ nitrous. car was an auto, had 298whp on nitrous, hit 13.57 on 1/4. name is "johntypes". besides engine, he had major suspension upgrades, noting a custom piece that eliminated wheel hop!
--There have also been claims that a CL could break into the 12's if the people did x,y,and z more to their car. I dont think 12's have fully been documented. (im assuming you're gonna try for 12's rajca??)
--I have TONS of respect for Type-R who is N/A and hit 13.3!! The Comptech S/C'er guys barely get that...even on ~6psi...
its really the car's setup, NOT HP that gets you a good time. Rajca, you are fighting against FWD + street legal car. major suspension work is a MUST.

(5 minute rule ran out...)
--and i totally forgot about allmotor, oops, sorry!
so rajca, your real summarized answer is (i believe): most HP - 464 at wheels. best 1/4 time: 12.xxx.
good luck on your hard work rajca, and make sure to document everything when the Turbo is in.

So 464whp is the most anyone has put down and since no one knows the last number of thr 12sec run. It cat count. Bc it casn be a 12.9 or 12.5 or 12.2 and so on. 13.3 is the time to beat.
I'm gonna try to break 500whp on stock block and see if it holed up. If not I got something ill be building.
On my tl-s auto I put down 292whp but I was running really lean and didn't gett a chance to tune ot on a 100dry shot

Haha, with the CL, Ill be happy to run a 13.7. I wont be happy with the Civic if it runs anything higher then a 12.3.

Like I said to u B4 Rajca This is not a rocket so I would not waste all my time and energy turning this into a 1/4 rocket there alot of other cars that are better equiped for that!!
But like you siad B4 PROVE ME WRONG!
I hope you can break 13's but it will take you alot of time and money!
Its just not worth it in FWD!

This Sunday I'm going to run at the 1\4. With my 125 shot and all season tires I'm aming for mid 13's. Keep in mide that I've only been driving mt for about 2-3 months and have never races a mt at a track. Gonna need practice
Seeing how 464whp cl is not around anymore, what the current highest whp cl?

Driver is a big part of getting these cars down the track fast. There's an SHO owner that got his stock '89 into the 12s with just a small shot of NOS to get him off the line (less then 50HP shot if I recall right) while most people can't break get low 14s with some mods. FWD is a pain to launch correctly and becomes even harder as HP increases.

anyway. would one of those wheelie bars help? place it on the ground so when u launch the car the front end doenst jump up causing the front to be lighter and the wheels to spin. just curious bc i saw them one a few 9-10sec civics, evos, sti

It would probably help alittle bit, but can you handle the Mustang and Camaro owners when they ridicule you for putting a wheelie bar on a 13 second car?

11s now? Damn, you either need really deep pockets or a whole bunch of luck on your side.

as far as wheelie bars go, these cars will not benifit to much, the best thing to do to get these cars into the 12's would be a serious weight reduction or swapping the 3.2 in to a 99 Accord, ClS are just as heavy as a twin turbo Supra (3500+)

^ill think about it. i could use the $400 for something else that will give me more power (well will add to the project).
im gonna be going to the track sunday i will get into the 13s but how low can i get?hmmm. we shall see. traction is gonna be a big problem seeing how im on all season tires, oem 17's and lowered
