I bought an 09 S2000 back in November, but then cancelled the order because I couldn't see running through the warranty in one year. With any luck, my job will transfer me to another division where they give us work trucks so I can sell the CL and get an NSX or Lotus. I'm just afraid about what would happen if I get bored of either one of those

I just turned 110K on my 01 Type S this week and I change my oil every 5000 w/ full synthetic. My car, like yours, runs like the day I drove it off of the lot.

At minimum 100. I think a record for me was a work related 600 and change, that was Va Bch in the morning, and DC in the afternoon. I worked 25 hours straight that day too (not my record, that stands at 38 hrs).

i just bought my wifes with 122,000 on it. Had the trans recall fix done at 40k and dealership that serviced it its whole life said it was never seen for a transmission problem-plus guy had all service paperwork down to windshield wiper blades. After being on this site for a couple weeks ive now freaked out about the trans....so thanks for that!

Ohh yeah. This is my first ride and I do plan to keep this for a long time. What about major parts replacement? How often do I need to change my timing belt and all the other major parts. Sorry I dont know much about cars but this site really is helpful.

start a new thread, you will get more help that way instead of thread jacking this one.
t-belt service- every 7 years or 105k miles which ever one occurs first.
normal oil chage about 5-7k miles (ppl will fight this and say u can go more, but i dont know your driving style and where u drive)
normal brake service
tire rotation every other oil change or every oil change depending on how often u do it.
major problem of the 00-03 tl and the 01-03 cl autos is the auto trans, motor mounts fail prematurely too.

87k and change. I've slowed down over the past two weeks. I've been doing alot of local work and riding the motorcycle, so the CL gets a break.
Fuel pump went on the bike though, so time to rack the miles up again

at 134k, tranny was changed at 119k and it seems to be slipping ever so slightly. I might get about 2k more miles before I have to get the tranny replaced, probably on my own dime this time. My new harley has been getting all the miles lately. 09 fatbob

I did not have any transmission issues (over 100k on mine replaced in 05)
but I replaced the sensors and my transmission shifts quicker & firmer. Excellent 9x.00 PM, imho.

I have an 01' CLS with about 56,800 miles on it. Did ALOT of traveling over the years and it just sat at home parked. I LOVE my Acura! Would love to have gotten a brand new 03' with the Onstar antenna. I like the way those look.

I know the Canadian maintenance schedule is a bit different. I think it should be the same if you live in the northern states. They recommend you do the service earlier, because driving it in really cold weather is considered "severe driving conditions". I just did my timing belt, pump and tensioner and i'm only at 91,000 kms. But i figured i had some $, and the car is now 6years old. You have to take into consideration the age of the car too.
