Where should I take my car for header install? Suggestions? Midas, meineke, firestone

Getting headers in tomorrow. I don't want to install them myself fearing I will ruin one of the 02 sensors.

What is a good shop I could take this too. Will any exhaust shop be alright?

I was thinking Midas, Meineke, Firestone....suggestions

any exhaust shop will be fine. but installing it yourself would save you some money. it's not that hard.

Well, since you are in STL. I would recommend HTP, Hi-Tuned Performance. They're in Arnold right at 141 and 55.

I would not go to a cookie cutter muffler shops.
Go to a performance shop that works on imports.

I've got a price quote from a custom exhaust shop...they wanted $240...Midas is asking $160-$200.

Is Midas alright? The only shops around me that will do it are CarX, Midas, and the Custom Exhaust Shop

Unless you get really lucky with the tech doing the install, I'd run like the wind away from the chains. One little screw up or a couple of come backs and you'll have more than made the difference in price. There is a reason that the folks working in the chains get paid less than techs elsewhere and it ain't because they're so good they can do the work faster.

Local Shop

I went to a local shop right up the street from the yard for work. Dropped it off at 6:00a.m and when I got done at 3:00pm it was done. Road tested, checked for leaks and flex pipe wrapped. I supplied all the materials (gaskets, nuts and bolts, and wrap) and they did it for $150. They asked me to come back in a week so they could check for leaks and such and did it as part of the original install (didn't charge.) I'm so happy with their work I'm gonna have them do my pulley (when I get off my butt!) and my 105K service. Good Luck!
