Hopefully this fall theyll have another...

But they did just release 2.04... so who knows.

Shit... I want to find a way to use a NavTech system like in Benzs/Jaguars so we can get the full mapping of the continental US that NavTech says their about to complete.

I don't know but I am crossing my fingers that my 2002 will come in a few weeks with a 3.0 DVD with some new features and stuff.

Exit 5A is relocated, not correctly mapped.. otherwise it seems is working fine ... still I have the old maps. I checked version 2.03 at the dealer and it was corrected.

I am holding for version 3.0 too, I hope it would have new cool features

Speaking of New DVDS, I had an interesting experience a few weeks ago.

I was visiting a friend, and when asked if I needed directions, I said, 'OF COURSE NOT!!!' and cackled wildly.

Five minutes later I'm calling her back because the NAV can't find the address.

Well, I could find the street next to hers. Turns out her housing subdivision is fairly new (about a year and a half). So watching the nav as I drove, I drove down the road, off the end of it, and then turned onto her street. It was an interesting answer to 'well, how often do roads change, anyway?'

Has anyone been pissed off when u search for the name of an establishment and it gives you the address of one that matches but liek in NY and you happen to be in CA?? I haven't really tried this feature out, but I find it annoying scrolling thru to find the right one.

That annoys the shit out of me. They should have a feature that searches your primary state first and then asks if you want to search other states...i mean how often do you drive to Cali when you live in NY? You think something like this would be obvious.

I think the worst feature of the NAV system is the "legal screen" you have to acknowledge every time you start the car. I don't know anything about DVD authoring...does anyone know if you can somehow "copy" the DVD code hack out the screen and re-burn the DVD ?
