ah...man...don't pull one of those Shawn-S-I'll-get-back-to-you-tomorrow threads
I know you're shit didn't get stolen because you wouldn't be this calm. So...that only leaves 1) you're clearing your headlights 2) you're getting 03' head lights

I just knew I would fawk them up if I did them myself. I'm just not good at the "details" and would rather pay another C-note for the experts to put them in.
And Lou, of course I will let you know how they come out

Lou:
Thanks for your comments, I know that we both love our rides.
I think you may have topped all of us last week with your Brembo upgrade. That is one sweet mod, don't let anybody tell you that braking is not just as important as HP gains. They go hand and hand.
And ya, I'm sending them out and they need to be completed there. I’ll be sending these out Fed EX, actually this is the most economical way on these with insurance and all. I hope to get them within ten days or so.
No I won't be driving W/O headlights ... I'll be in the white truck :happysad:

You can't go by that pic Lou, not only was that clear piece taped over the housing but there was white paper behind it to cancel out the amber. did not look right :shakehd:
And here I thought the TL set was way ahead of ours, I check over there and have yet to see a set installed. I'm actually wondering If mine will be the first CL/TL to get these in. Who knows

DUDE, you stole my thread topic EXACTLY from the other day when I swapped two of my tires out.
I thought someone had “bumped” that one to the top.
I did a double take when I saw the “thread starter” name and didn’t see a black dot next to the folder.
Even the “preview” with the “answer within 24-hours” bit.
You THIEF you.

"You diffuser order shipped on 02/27/03
Please review the diffusers for defects prior to starting the installation process. This will insure that once the installation process has begun, you will be able to complete it successfully. Should there be any issues with the diffuser quality, please e-mail
ClearLens@Houston.rr.com.
Note: The diffusers have a thin film of mold release on them from the manufacturing process. This film should be removed with dish soap and warm water prior to installation. Because the diffusers are made from a softer plastic, they can be slightly deformed in shipping. To reshape them, simply place them is warm water (Tap water) for a few minutes, dry and then place inside the headlamps. Once they cool they will be the proper shape again.
Thanks for your business.
Jeff"

So, I sent the lights out today. If your planning to do the conversion send them FedEx!!
This was recommended to me by Jeff and sending them FedEX ground will get them there next week (Insured for $750) for less than UPS which I was going to use. Came to about $ 13.50 for me, which is cheap for sending a box that is 22 x 14 X 12.

I will post a few pic while I am doing the converstion. These things get done at night (I have a real day job ) and then ship out the next day, so daytime pics would slow down the turnaround time. That is Nate's call.
As of today, there are only a small number of Acura diffusers that have been shipped. They all shipped today. The only set that did not ship today was the TL prototype, and even that one has not been installed (He has had it for over three weeks). So I am sure that once a set gets installed, and good pic's get posted we can all see the differance.
On a side note: We need installation info. I can cover the diffusers in the headlights. I have that down. But I need something from Bumper off......to......Bumper on. There is a thread on that posted here, but is it right?

Jeff,
I'll post some instruction here for bumper/ headlight removal on this car tomorrow. I have some of the pics and its pretty easy.
As far as holding up my lights just to get a daytime pic... I think not ! Florescent lights at night will have to do guys. I'll take pics when I get them on for sure though.

bougth rims from a acl.com member in OK (I'm in NC). Shipped Fedex ground. Two of the rims got damaged enroute to me. Submitted insurance claim(which means they have to pick up the parcel). then they lost a rim for a week. Then they lost the insurance claim paperwork. All said, I bet I called them about 50 times, different story everytime. They ended up have to pay since they could see that they picked up my rims for inspection. Just make sure you insure them. I will never again use Fedex ground.
ok, back the the original topic...

Sorry to hear about that, I insured them. I guess there is a horror story for just about every shipping co. out there. I'm hoping for the best

Jeff,
I'll post some instruction here for bumper/ headlight removal on this car tomorrow. I have some of the pics and its pretty easy.
As promised,
1.) I started with removing the plastic upper beam cover in the engine bay:
( circled approximately where the 6 or 7 clips are to pop out for removal.)
2.) Once the cover is off you need to remove 3 bolts located below it (circled):
3.) Now, below the bumper (underneath) you see 2 bumper clips to pop out (red) and four screws (blue):
4.) Getting the bumper off requires some careful, but with force, pulling it off.
I did it alone, so I put a blanket under in case it came off faster than anticipated
4.) Starting with one corner just tugging it out and then once one side is started you’ll find the other side comes much easier. Place it safely down
5.) Now for the Headlights:
they sit on a beam (red), below the beam there are 3 bolts to remove (blue). above there are 2 to remove, hold the lamp from below as you do this as it will fall off if you don't.
Then just unplug the lamps from behind and you're done.
6.) Lamps themselves are straightforward other than two remove the HID bulb you'll need a T20 security, like a regular Hex T20, but with the hole in it.
Once off, the bulb, ballast, and wiring can all be removed.
Hope this helps
