you must be a great driver to get those 60' numbers on street tires.

i'm guessing you must have some wide ass tires in the back as well.

Nittos. They only make that size in Nittos, BF goodrich and Dunlop and some other companies that make drag radails. I road race more than drag racing so Nittos was the best choice for me because of their sidewalls.

Nitto only makes the 315/35/17's in the 555R's so my guess would be yes. I have them also and I drag race & road race on them and they are excellent tires for many uses. Not too expensive either.

And I pulled 1.9 60's on street tires also, but they are 255/50/16 Comp TA dr's. They actually hook better than the 315/35/17 Nitto's.

SCTL-SS,
are you getting all your work done by VR? If so, they sent me a list of your mods along with 1/4 times with different combinations.
Maybe you can clear this up for me. When i looked down the list, it seemed like you werent breaking 13's even with the blower. also, your times with I/H/P were not that good as well. I ran 14.4 with that setup and i remember the numbers listed for that setup you had were higher. I was hoping you can explain the reasoning behind it or did i miss something?
BTW, your current time is very quick. I hope i can pull off something of that sort when i goto the track.
Both car and driver seem to be improving with age. I wasn't that good(I guess) as I began to take it to the track or it could of been the track it self. The 13.68 was when I competed in the Battle of the Imports and the track was prepped really well.
My car is also a "salvage" car so it might h ave a few gremlins???

Yes they are. They are nice, but if u want them to hook u need to really heat them. I usually just do a burn out to clean them because I'm still on a stock rear end. Once i did heat them more than 4 sec and lanuched at 5500RPM, this is what happend http://www.msnusers.com/CarsRelatedG...oto&PhotoID=15
I also messed up my rear end so now so im still waiting on the new rear end to come so i can launch really high on ET slicks.

That's what I'm saying. I'm running those times with all my mods. Even if I had decent 60's It still wouldn't be more then a 14.2 or .3

Guess my car is just a slow one.

It was a really bad track and a really really hot humid day. I didnt have the chance to run it in the cold weather because i was breaking trannies like no tomorrow and in the process of claiming my Cobra to be a lemon. I ended up with 5 broken trannies in 12 months and after 14 months they gave me my money back after i got my lawyer to talk to them. Thats why i didnt run it at the track alot nor modded the Cobra. Before the recall fix the car ran 14.0 at 100mph so i was really happy with the numbers i got after the fix. After that i got the CL-S.

Those are very impressive times and power #s. You'll have to post the results of the SC when you get that completed. I don't believe 11's will be a problem.

Thanks, here is the dyno sheet when it was stock VS now just because i recieved few PM's from people who have some doubts lol http://www.msnusers.com/CarsRelatedG...oto&PhotoID=10
I know i would have a hard time believe it if i didnt have a LS1 because its unreal gains for the amount of the money spent especially when the car is N/A.

I don't have any doubts. At the track in Orlando there is a white late model Z-28 that runs consist low 10's and red convertable late model firebird that runs high 10's low 11's. Both cars are encreidibly powerful. And I do believe that firebird at least is NA.
