what would you do

Okay I've beginning to think about my next car(which I thought was gonna be a WRX Sti) but my dad works at Honda and brought home a 03 Accord v-6 coupe 6 speed with navi with leather.I didn't drive it(cause i'm not suppose to) but i did sit in the driver seat. but I could feel the power when he got into it. the car amazing. Plus Hondas will run forever and a day. I don't know about the dependability of the WRX.

now here's the question: what would you do?

option #1. Stay with the WRX Sti and say forget the 6 speed V-6 Accord and it will be atleast 32000 with tax tags and everything and hardly anything on it.
option #2. Forget the WRX and go for a new Accord V-6 coupe 6 speed EX,with Navigation loaded (with spoiler, woodgrain trim, aero kit,17 inch alloy rims, few other little things)

thanks guys

I forgot to tell you the Accord vs WRX price is

WRX stripped with tax and title is about 32 grand
because my dad works at Honda i get healthy cuts on Hondas/Acuras. So i can get a loaded Accord out the door ready to roll for about 25-26 grand. that's why i'm leaning toward the accord it's about 7 grand cheaper

you're a big guy right?

have you ever even sat in a wrx? it's small.

seems to me this is a no brainer, with the discount your dad gets.

Depends on what you want. If you want a quick car with passable looks and nice interior features, go for the Accord. If you want a fast car that looks like ass and will have an almost endless supply of performance upgrades, go for the WRX.

looks on the WRX are subjective, although I was never a big fan. The STI will have a better front. The STi is also going to be nasty as hell stock with globs of Aftermarket support!

personally, if you can live with the looks then I say get the WRX! The Accord will be plenty fast with a real nice interior but the WRX will be silly fast with a not so hot interior.

ahahahah

they are 2 completly different cars...i personally would get the sti, cause I can always borrow my mom's or my dad's car if I need to go to the airport, etc (i.e. wrx as an awesome weekend/weeknight car). If its your first car, though, then id get the accord...i guess...

you know i dont think the new sti's look like shit...its gonna have HIDs, and they redid a lot of the body...so it'll look real nice

she was already complaining cause i want a manual tranny. she said I don't know how to drive a manual and how incase if her car breaks down and she had to drive my car she'd be grinding gears and everything. I said my first manual i learned how to drive was A 1970's Ford Fire engine. (5 speed with a spliter(plus with it being a gas and driving through hills and having a full load of water i had to shift ALL THE TIME )
I said I take my friends old Ford Escort (which is a POS I know) and it has a manual tranny in it and take her out into a BIG parking lot so she can get down the push in on the clutch slowly ,shift let out on the clutch slowly and give her a little gas as your going into the next gear.

She's in the process of looking for a new car but she won't even look at it if it has a manual tranny. It could be a NSX for 5 bucks(i'm using this as an example) she'd say forget it , it's a manual:shakehd: . for me I like manuals can I can control the car's powerband better plus you get a little better gas mileage.

HELL NO i'm not buying another dodge again. I had a 2 dodge trucks and their service, quality and the way they treated me(out of 3 dealers only 1 i felt treated me decent)(the 1 when i took my truck in cause the 94 was a 4x4 the transfer case was leaking a little. the service counter guy PISSED ME OFF i said "can you look at the transfer case because i think it's leaking slowly"(i was nice) he said "you probably took it off roading and clobbered something with it didn't you" It was only about 2-3 years old so it was under warrenty. I said "no at the most I did was I had to drive through the back of my yard(cause we live on 3 acres) and that's all grass so that shouldn't even phase it and i didn't even have it in 4x4. he said alright but if we see signs of off roading we're not paying for it. I said whatever just fix the d@mn truck. then they took like a week to look for a leak and replace a seal (I was pissed because they took their sweet time)(i know i pissed off the head parts guy so he just got around to it when he felt like it).KEEP IN MIND THIS PLACE GOT THE 5 STAR OR WHATEVER DODGE'S STUPID HIGHEST RATED SERVICE RATING IS.
then i picked it up and less then 6 months later the stupid thing leaking again same spot .
because dad drives it most of the time(because dad and I have a lawn care business) I talked with dad about the Dodge truck about how the service and how it was leaking. so at the end of 01(we paid off the Dodge) we went and got 02 new Toyota Tundra 4x4. and the service and quality on it's be awesome. now dad waiting on 06 model year cause he wants the "bigger tundra"(it will be like 3/4 ton) and once that comes out he said once the old tundra paid off he'll go ahead and go for the big tundra

This is a no-brainer to me. Go with Accord for the following reasons:

1. Reliability. Hondas have good reliability, and more importantly, and there are more things that can go wrong in a forced induction engine, particularly a turbo-charged one (not sure if the STI has a turbo cooler or not).

2. Resale value. Turbo cars in general have a lower resale value because of perceived long-term reliability problems

3. Comfort. Noise, refinement, etc. The Accord will have it all over the STI. The STI is intended to be a street version of their rally car, which is fine if you're planning on driving from Paris-Dakkar. If, however, you're planning on driving to/from college or to/from work, you'll be a lot more comfortable in the Accord. Besides, which car do you think babes will be more comfortable in? Sure, they may get a visceral rush out of the STI the first couple of times they ride in it, but you'll quickly learn two things that we as men have all had to learn: a). A comfortable luxurious (but still fast) car is more palatable to nubile femmes than an "on-the-edge" car (unless of course you're talking about a Porsche, which tramples that assumption) b). driving like a maniac, even if it shows off your lightning-quick reflexes and 17-20-something year-old levels of testosterone (age guess :-) ), sucks for passengers of your car. Women are typically more impressed by men who are calm and in control than the hyper-type :-)

4. Vehicle and insurance cost.

The downsides of the Accord are:

1. You will probably lose a few stoplight races (though in all honesty, you'll still be faster than 85-90 percent of the cars on the road).

2. The STI, because of the AWD, may be a better bad-weather car if you can stay off the turbos.
