What Windshield Wipers work really well?
What Windshield Wipers work really well? I am about to buy some for my car and my wife's, but was just needing some input on some different brands?
What brand?
What Model?
Single Blade?
Dual Blade?
About how long they last?
Squeaking?
Thanks
-Jim

Stay with stock OEM wiper blades purchased at the dealer.
I have 3 reason I say this the 1st is that I have not had any problems with OEM blades on my TL. The car is almost 3yrs old & I just got the 3nd replacement pair since getting the car new.
The 2nd reason is that on PBS MotorWeek TV show the guy that does the garage & auto segement Pat Goss also has a local 30min call in TV show in the Washington/Baltmore area. MotorWeek TV comes from this area but people had asked the same question about blades. He said that its just to much hype over the blades & the OEM will work great without any problems.
He also suggest people use the Rain X windshield wash fluid in the washer fluid tank. I did this same thing before I saw this segment on his show. He said this will keep the blades from making the chatter noise & moving freely over the windshield. He did not like the other type blade so this is what he uses. The 3rd reason is last week while getting my oil chage & some other warranty work done at the dealership. Some lady was having problems with her wiper blades making noise. The service tech said that many times the generic blades cause problem like chatter noise. So it seems to confirm what Pat Goss said on his TV show stick with genuine OEM wiper blades. Just replace them every 6 months or 1year as per the condition.
