Blue really does fit me, my friend has a black accord and acts just like what they say about black, another friend with a silver GTI, fits him as well. Nice.

Really though, the color you pick on a car does say a lot about you.
And for Bobby D, he is a Genius, so he should know :P

First of all, thanks for sharing this. Fun!
When I bought my '01 CLS, I really wanted green - dark green, like the TL has. But, the CL didn't come in green, so I picked red.
So, I guess I'm a "closet" traditional and elitist genius, pretending to be outgoing, etc.
I am easily bor. . .

Some people just don't get it....
Limited production run on gold in a land full of black, red, and silver cars....
It's nice being able to drive a car that's one of a few in the area...
In my office complex there is 2 red, 3 black, and 2 silver cls's... not to mention all the TL's how exciting.. hell sometimes they park right next to each other, looks like an Acura dealer..
Enjoy following the crowd....

Yes, gold is unique. But some people do find the color quite hideous.
When I had my red one in for service, they gave me the same model gold one to drive as a loaner. I drove it to work, and my timing was good as a lot of people got a look at the car as I exited it (was about lunchtime). Got a ton of looks. I approached some friends at work going to lunch and said, "How do you like the new color?". The response was not positive, in fact, down right demeaning. We are all friends, so they must have figured it was a loaner and were not afraid to speak their minds.
This is just one instance, but it stuck with me.
If you like your gold, great, you are happy and that is what matters. I like my red and am very satisfied with my car.

Wow, surprisingly I didn't get flamed..
I would agree with all of your comments. Since owning the car I've had so many varied comments its hard to pinpoint its acceptance. I will say that with this car, I've heard more comments from people at stoplights than with any car I've owned.
I've also noticed, and I would guess because of its color, that it doesn't seem (knock on wood) to get hit or door dinged in parking lots like my previous, red, black, and silver cars. Nor do I have people pulling out in front of me at intersections like before.
Since owning the car, I have lived in two different cities here in FL, and I can honestly say, that because of its limited production run (700 I believe), you just don't see a car like this one that often. Which to me, is pretty
I also, and maybe because I have one, have noticed that other manufacturer's are coming out with their own versions of gold. Though I don't have any facts to back this up, I would like to think that Acura was the first or at least one of the first to bring this color out...
So, if you're one who likes to challenge the status quo, like me, I think its a great choice, and its all good!

Ahh, another posting turned into flame wars. Jeez.
Dude I think he was joking. I don't think anyone who posted to this thread construed shauNn78's comments as a personal attack on anyone. By the looks of the other posts, most people found it quite amusing.

So silly. Anyone can make up a list of colors and what they want them to mean.
Also, I think the gold comment on page one was a bit rude and if I had a gold car I'd be a bit angry in my reply as well, although it probably would have been a simple "ah fuck off", not all this stuff.
