So i'm getting ready to jump on I-80 and i see another San Marino Red CL-S ahead.He had aftermarket wheels and i thought catch up,say hi,see what kind of wheels he's got and see if he's on the board.Anyway i get alongside,give him a wave and he looks at me like i'm driving a Monte Carlo or something.He floors it,i stay with him and again make eye contact and nothin.
Oh well,i love my car and like meeting other owners.I guess all owners are not as passionate as the people on this board,too bad.

I've had similar experiences. Perhaps someone will hazard a guess for the number of members of this board vs. the number of CLS vehicles out there (in total). You are assuming that the "other" Acura driver is even aware that they own a car with would-be members or enthusiasts.

I have stopped right next to other CL-S owners, to have them give me one quick look and drive on (I might as well been in a Rambler). There are probably a lot of people that are so paranoid (these days), that they wonder if you are sizing them up for a car jacking.

heh whenever i go and pull up to another 1st gen cl they don't even look at my modded one. afcourse the other cl is always stock and boring. they pay no attention at all and it is pointless i like to wave at them. now when i com in contact with a 2nd gen cl or tl there's a response more then half the time. hmmmm.

Yeah, I know what you guys mean..I was eating dinner on Sunday and I got out of the restuarant and walking to my car..I see a Black CL-P driving slow and Looking at my car, so I say to my wife, I wonder if he belongs to our board, So I tell her that if he parks I will talk to him..he doesn't park and keeps rolling slowly by my car, so I wave "Hi" to him and he ignores me and speeds up and leaves the parking area...I was like sheesh! Just trying to be friendly ya know.

We used to do the headlight flash in BMW 2002s (all models of them). It used to drive the Porsche people crazy (this was back in the 1970s).

I thought this would be a good idea, until I heard all of the reports about gang initiations.

I would mention a secret hand gesture, but then again, that would be misconstrued by some hyper active gangster as the finger or something.. Oh well...

Most of the ones I see here are driven by good looking babes.... they stare straight ahead! Most of us NJ guys hang out at the Bada Bing Club with the Tony Soprano wannabe's.

The only group that consistently wave is other motorcycle riders when I'm on the Harley.

So far I've had one "cool wave" encounter with Eclips23 and a dud encounter with some prissy dickhead who who wouldn't take his eyes off the windshield. no sweat off of my sack though. Eclipse23 got me to join the board so that was cool.
