yea would be nice if they did what other companies do like bmw, mercedes etc who offer both rwd and awd for the same models. I doubt acura will make rwd cars in the next 5 to 10 years. Also that nsx that i heard about has a front mounted engine not mid mounted engine, why go backwards when midmounted is best. Can always dream about buying a used nsx tho.

Acura has pissed me off. They are gettin punished by Lexus and Infiniti.
First- Honda hasn't even made a V8 engine yet. I mean, Infiniti has had one for a longtime and so has Lexus, but damn...when is Honda gonna unleash that V8 beast?!
Second-I agree. Acura should have never abandoned the CL. The sales for the CL probably fell because people knew about that tranny issue. They also should have just made it a RWD vehicle. They need to bring back the CL. Acura is gettin punished by the G35/G37. The SC430 isn't a problem for Acura, but its nice though.
I like how Acura has that picture of a 09 TL with those spikes on the tires to represent the SH-AWD.

acura is very smart in making cars fwd because people who buy luxury cars dont like rwd and half of the people who buy BMWs dont even know they are rear wheel drive ( which is one of the only reasons I would by a beemer) but the reason they are sticking with fwd is because it apeals to more consumers just not us

A car I could cruise the country roads with. But eh... I just see a lot of 6-liter V8 Mustang GTs putt-putting around in rush hour traffic all the time. For my situation and the area I live around I'd say it's a bit unnecessary. Just sayin'...but yeah I can't really understand why they get whipped so bad in the luxury market. Honestly (and I'm not trying to gloat) I get compliments on my car all the time... yet people I work with still want to get Audis...

What? How the fuck is FWD better then RWD? In the snow, sure, but when it comes to performance (and the CL was comparable to the 3 series, and the TL is comparable to the G35/37) FWD is a losing proposition.

(RWD biased though), but yeah most consumers will never push the limits of the car, so FWD works just fine for them, and that is what Acura has decided to stick to, even if there are us that want RWD

Yea, they are starting to do AWD, and I remember reading something that they are scrapping the whole Tier 1 plan and now trying to be like Audi.
I guess their motto should now be:
If we can't mimic BMW, maybe we can try an over-priced VW??
