125k.. Is there synthetics in there already? Do you know the condition of the motor and seals? I would recommend synthetics but sometimes it can cause more worse then good.

Myth #5 - Synthetic oil causes engine leaks. Synthetic motor oils eat gasket material and cause engines to leak. Synthetic motor oils affect engine seals and result in excessive oil leakage. Synthetic oil can’t be used on high-mileage engines. Synthetic and synthetic blend motor oils cannot be used in older or high-mileage vehicles.
Fact: Synthetic oils do not cause engine oil leaks. Deteriorated and hardened seals and gasket material cause engine oil leaks. If the seals are already leaking with conventional motor oil, they will leak with synthetic oil. If the seals are in good condition, synthetic oils may be used in high-mileage engines.
Also if you really think Conventional oil is just as good or better then Synthetic then why would Bently, Ferrari, Porsche, GM, BMW, Lambo, Bugatti, Dodge, MB, and many others all pay extra to factory fill thier high performance engines with synthetic oil? I think they have done a bit more research then we have on the subject. I woulld venture to guess that they pay the extra doe because it works better and reduces engine failures while under warranty. Just my thoughts. Car companies DO NOT spend extra money on thier production line unless it has a benificial return for them. Maybe not so much for a company like Bently or Bugatti where status is everything.
I would go with any of the quality synthetics with a Puralotor Pure One, Mobil 1, or K&N filter. Skip on the cheaper filters. I like the Pure One for cost and performance. As for the oil I would just stick with the 5w30.

5w-20 or 5w-30 is fine. Acura changed it from 5w-30 to 5w-20 for CAFE standards (slightly improved gas mileage). They are interchangable in our engines. Some like like lightness and improved MPGs of 5w-20 and others like the added protection of 5w-30.
Personally I use synthetic 5w-30 with 8k intervals. I use a good filter. I rather base my oil change interval on the filter then the brand of oil.
My last oil change I put in Mobil 1 EP for the first time since I owned the car and will be running that for a year since I drive less then 15k in a year.
I say keep using synthetic with 5w-20 until you get a leak.
If you can find it, this stuff is the best of both words if you do develop a leak or burning oil:
Notice that its not the syn blend or dino type.

Whats up with RDX owners?

Honda uses thin oil for fuel economy. I highly suggest running 5w-30 after the break-in oil from the factory has done its job.

Use whatever you want but I'll stick with Royal Purple.

I've been using a lot of Valvoline synthetic. I usually use it or Mobil 1. Just depends on which one is on sale. One or the other seems to always be on sale with a good filter when I need to do a change. I just tried Pennzoil Platinum in my wifes car last change and when I was done there was a bunch of brown stuff in the bottom of the jug. I won't go with them again. It was likely thier additives.

I did not hear about that one. Do you have any info on that? Source? Just want to read it.

BTW, the M1 and K&N oil filters are very much the same filter.

5w 20 and I'd have to disagree that synthetic doesn't cause leaks. It penetrates better than regular oil. I just started having oil leaks after switching to synthetic. NEVER had a problem before. But synthetic does make a difference, for better and worse. Granted all cars aren't the same or in the same condition so some will never experience leaks but some will.
