What should I/What's best to do???
Okay so here's the situation...
I have a 2001 CL-Type S with 55K miles on it, just got the tranny replaced about a thousand miles ago (approximately) and it will be paid for next year around this time. It would have been 3 1/2 years.
I have an 8 month old son and it was *** over the 4th of July weekend. My fiancee went along with me and we took our son up to DC. It was most uncomfortable ride ever!!!! She put his car seat behind the passenger's seat and she sat behind me in order to be back there with him. She was saying how uncomofortable she was because there wasn't any room for her in the back seat and how she couldn't get comfortable as a result. Then with the car seat being behind the passenger's seat, whoever sat in the passenger seat had to actually cross there legs in order to be able to have room. I could have made her a little bit more comfortable by sliding my seat up but then i would have been up under the steering wheel, and naturally that wouldn't have worked.
So my concern/question is what would be the feasible thing for me to do? Work through it since it'll be paid off in exactly a year and trade it in on something else or keep it? Or go ahead and trade it in now and when i say now it'll prolly still be like 3-4 months not unless something changes or i see a good deal on what i want before then. I would like to keep it and then get something else but with the tranny problems, i'm scared to do that because when my warranty expires then i'll be screwed! Also, i realize the longer i wait, the less of trade in value that i can expect. What do you guys think? Oh and what i would be getting is either an 05 TL or 06 TL depending on if any changes are made.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Shaft... yea i hear ya the only thing to that is we're not married yet. However, that still doesn't change the fact that whenever i do have my son until we actually do get married, (which will be soon...prolly another year and a half or so) i wouldn't really be able to have anyone else in the car because of the lack of room.

i would also consider the TSX. cheaper than the RL and TL and a 4 door sedan, smaller wheelbase (better handling) and comes pretty damn well loaded. i had the privelidge of owning one for a few months before i sold it to a relative, definitely a nice car. the backseat is not that bad, i would say its comfortable. test drive it with your wife in the backseat and see what she thinks.
trade in for our cars aren't that great, dont expect too much. with 55k miles i would say you can probably get about 12-13k trade in for it most likely... really sucks a lot when you consider that you're gonna pay off all that money in the next year. i feel your pain.
six spd TSX should be on your list of test drives best of luck.

Rezurex... i have to agree with 03CoupeV6 on the fact of how small the TSX is. I actually had to priveledge of driving a TSX for about a half a week. That's what Acura gave me for my loaner (that i didn't have to pay for) when they took my CL in to get the tranny replaced. One good thing i did love about it however, is how firm it felt while driving. The handling was awesome. On the other hand, lack of space in the back seat as well as the horse power being an issue. Only 200 hp!!!!! I can't see downgrading from 260hp or whatever is in the CL-S down to 200hp that would be ridiculous. (don't get me wrong i'm not knocking anyone who has done this) But those are the couple of things that stood out to me 1) lack of space; 2) lack of horsepower!
I'm hoping the TL will meet my needs as far as the space in the back seat. What do you guys think? Or maybe i need to take that concern over to the TL forum. So yea the TSX wasn't even in the category of me getting something new. It would definitely be the TL. I'm thinking the RL may be outta my range not unless they give me a killer trade in, which is MISSION IMPOSSIBLE! So it'll definitely be the TL.
Thanks for the comments guys keep them coming if you all have something to reply with.
