It's only been in the past year that I can really say that I like the 2nd Gen's design. I hated it at first, then got used to it, and now I think they look damn good.

I still like my 1st Gen's profile!

Love second gen with some mods. It way tooo high up, looks like a boat. Once you drop it , it looks sweet. I wish my 1st gen has some mods. I think a dropped 1st gen, with projectors, and some minor body kit styling is much nicer than a 2nd gen look wise. Performance wise wish we got some secret weapon/affordable to up that up.

Let me put it this way... I never would have considered buying my original 01 CLS if it looked like the 1st gen. I think the 1st gen. rear view is really ugly... don't like the rest of the body lines either...

I think Acura finally got it right with the 2nd gen.

1st gen is more bold - regardless of wether you like the rear or not

Although I like the 2nd gen overall, they designed it as exciting as a camry.

heres a good side by side comparison except extremely biased since my cl is heavily modded and that cl-s is completely stock. i just wish i had my friends interior. BLACK RULES!

Acura should have kept the point in the back for the 2nd gen instead of rounding it off. Would have looked 1000x better.

I strongly disagree!!! The 2nd gen looks a 1000 times better, especially the rear end. But, it has to be said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

True. but without the point the 2nd cl blends in with all the other cars ont he road except for the slightly agressive tails.

in the 2nd gens defense Acura made the 2003 look much better from the front. the black housings and painted grill were a great idea. the tails should have been upgrade to led in a distinct angled pattern. bastards saved everything for the 04 tl.

i would take a 04 tl over any cl.

2nd gen (2003 model) looks the best especially with 19's, H&R drop and HKS exhausts. And a fresh coat of Zaino or NXT.

I have to say 1st gen is way better than 2nd gen in the department of performance and luxury. The only reason i bought my first gen was for its look and the rims. 99 3.0 CL has very nice looking stock rims. Beside the exterior, i have problem with everything else about the 1st gen.
1. WAY WAY outdated INTERIOR, can you say 95 accord ?
2. same engine as 6th gen accord, which is not powerful enough
3. Cheap interior

I find the 1st gen exterior so unique in every way ! although the front does resemble 5th gen accord, but the rear just looks incrediblely unique.
