What is the highest octane available in California?
I think most of the folks have said they get 92 or 93 octane with 92 being the highest in California/Los Angeles. Is this so?
If someone knows different or the hows and whys, could they explain?
Thanks...

Thanks! If you ever here of a 76 station that has 100 octane in the LA/West LA area, let me know. I hate the thought of calling every 76 station in Los Angles, Pasadena, Valley, etc...

Damn... the highest I've ever seen in NY or anywhere in the northeast for that matter is 93octane. Maybe 94.

There is a place in Los Banos, I think it's a Chevron that sells something above 100 out of the pump. I wanna say it's 102. I don't think there is anywhere in Fresno that sells it, but I've heard of people buying 108 out of the pump back east. 108's like racing fuel!!!! Then again, I think 102 is considered racing fuel. I wonder what my 2.3CL woudl run like on that stuff since I can defidently notice a substantial difference between the 87 and the 92 (Octane sensor retards the timing... ...a lot!).
