You guys dont like to go fast hah. Well I understand its 1. dangerous 2. sould be costly etc. Me im a speed freak. 120? I went 120 in my junk 328. My ZO6 thats another story I wanted to go top speed by I almost peed in my pants at 158mph (according to the speed0) it was probably more like 145 mph. Thats my story

top speed

I have taken my 01 cl type s up to the governor and when you hit it it appears you are going 150. I did it twice but the second time I pulled my mirrors in to cut down on the wind resistance. It helped alot.

Plenty of room around here to do high speeds. I'm in the low 100s (105) weekly.

Top in Kansas was about 130mph and close to 140mph in Iowa. Those speeds are way too fast and I don't recommend them even in the wide wide wide open roads.

I do 1xx teens about monthly in the summer (good weather, good tires). It's easy and safe and it's usually during a race. I35 and I70 in Kansas are perfect for high speed runs. There are concrete dividers, the freeway is flat and straight, and the cops are minimal. Plus there are 3 lanes or more in each direction.

BTW, I have never passed another car (moving in the same direction as I) doing >100 mph and I have never exceeded 120mph on a highway that didn't have a hard divide like a concrete median (toll road) or trees for safety reasons and for rolling radar....lately.

140-Before I knew my tranny was a time-bomb,now I'm ready to pop in neutral anything over 75, but when your other car is a ford exploder it doesn't tend to bother you as much.

I hit 130 all the time. I made a drive from NY LI to boston in 2hrs 15mins. Averaged about 110mph the whole way, after I got out of the city. The V1 saved me plenty of times. God Bless the V1.

130mph on 580 heading towards the SanRafeal bridge. Then 135mph a couple of months later...heading westbound on 580 around Oakland, where an imperfection on the road got me spinning out 180 degrees...getting me involved in the scariest accident of my life.

I think from now on I'll live my high speed fantasies through you guys. Drive safe...as for me, I think I'm done trying to beat any "records".

148 on the access road (45 limit) to the bonneville international speedway. i think i toasted the brake pads when i had to stop at the dead end. i couldn´t take teh car onto the lakebed itself for speeding becasue it was covered i a salt slushy.

the next tiem i returned i only did about 135 on the lake bed because my gut feeling told me not to. i had a patch in one of the front tires and all tires were too badly worn to travel at high speed on that kinda surface.

125-130, but I'm not tryin' to do that anymore. Freakin' too many things can go wrong at that speed. I had my Dad's '88 RX-7 Turbo II to 140 once on I-95 in MA/NH...couldn't keep it in one lane...wobbly like a m'fer!

About 140 through the sugar fields here off Route 80W early in the morning. I doubt if I would do it again. It's just too dangerous. You never know if an armadillo or some animal decides to wander on the road at that instant to take a shit...and here you are blasting down the road a warp speed. Goodbye animals and maybe you too.

Fastest I've ever been in the TL is about 110mph.....

In my CL I was doing about 95-100 on I87 up to Albany. Made it from my wife's parents house (near Peekskill, NY) to Albany in 1 hr. 15 min.

125mph going to Denver from Colorado Springs on a straight away in the daytime on I-25.
It is really easy to get to 110 mph on that road. Acura CL does it with suprising ease.

Well broke my 125 record this morning, got it up to about 130+, didn't pay attention to the speedo too much, was too worried about the road at that moment.
