That's a lot of $$$

And just think, one of the members wanted to "dump" the CL-S for an SUV. Perhaps one of their folks is a Saudi Oil Minister...

$1.9@something for super here in Dallas. The dealer told me you could use regular and add a bottle of octane booster. But the cost of that adds up to about the same.

I got hit with the triple whammy:

1)Prices in the midwest have soared proportionally higher, and
2)Carclub went belly up on me, and
3)Costco can't seem to significantly beat non-membership gas stations.

Used to be 10-15 cents difference between the two. Now I'm lucky to see 2 cents difference. Not worth the drive to Costco anymore.

I still have to make that 20+ mile drive to work on the plaza in Kansas City, Missouri. I know that's not really far but my job promised to move to the new Sprint campus in Kansas on May 15, which is 5 minutes away from home. The move was delayed....and I'm paying [gas] for it.

I'm starting to check this site more often, too. Are you finding the info somewhat dated? Most of my bargains are in another state (Missouri) and I have to make that drive just for a few bucks....

$1.99 here in Denver for 91. That really fucking sucks since the highest octane you can get in CO is 91.

I don't really care how much gas costs. My company reimburses me $0.32 a mile and my car is under warrantee so I actually make money no matter what. I give it WOT whenever I get the chance. I always put premium gas in my car. I pay around $1.80 a gallon for premium lately and I fill up my tank 2 or 3 times a week.

Yea Im paying around 2.20 in NY at Sunoco for the Ultra 94 Octane. But gas in the US is pretty cheap compared to a lot of other countries and some people dont realize that. I know gas in Europe is about 3x as expensive, I was just over there. So in reality were kinda catching up to them now... before you know it its gonna be 5 or 6 dollars a gallon and everyone is going to be driving sub-compact cars like in a lot of Europe and get rid of SUV's I paid 70 dollars the other day to fill up the family suburban. Suv's are out of control.

I fired up Excel and did my monthly expenses. I can afford gas prices up to around $4.25/gal... Assuming grocery prices and other crap don't go up as well.

Heh, how many miles do you have on your car? I do the same sort of driving for work (and get reimbursed $0.30 a mile), and have put about 24,000 miles on my car in the 8 months that I've had it.

Right now, the cheapest I can get 93 octane for is about $1.84/gallon. That's pretty bad for this area, but compared to the prices in CA, well, let's just say I'm glad that I live in New England
