What can be done if a body shop screws up your car
I had an accident late march and i took my car to a shop i got it back last week! They told me 2 weeks turned out to be 2 months and stuff still is messed up.
After driving it around and checking a few parts i noticed that parts were put on incorrectly, lights weren't connected and my hood is off balance.
They do have a lifetime warrenty but if you go that road they keep your car for one month to do 3 hours of actual work and i can not spend that much time and patience without a car.
Has anyone had any experiences around these lines, or know if i should talk to a lawyer and see what happens?
Thanks for the info.

Before you go to the BBB and possibly contacting small claims court, why not approach them in an adult manner and explain to them your dissatisfaction in the work. Show them what's wrong and ask them to make it right. No need to file a complaint just yet...

What kind of shop did you go to? Do they specialize in our cars or just a shop your insurance stuck you with? A good shop can take apart your ride and put it back together w/ no probs. Yea, I'd let them know you're not happy w/ the pisspoor job they did. But don't let them keep your car that long. If it's their fault, you shouldn't let them dick you around.

If it was done with insurance money, I'd let your agent know just to keep him posted. Then, if there is a problem, you're on record from the beginning.
