What is a 2.7 quart exchange and how do you perform it?
#2
The repots I get say that most do just a 2.7 liter "exchange" (as in only some of the fluid in the transmission gets renewed.
In one of the earlier threads, someone posted an iterative process to replace ALL the fluid (by using multiple "exchanges").
I do know that Kevin M got a "full flush" when he had his CLS.
IMO -- As far as the rest of your questions -- the more info, the better...

I have posted the trans flush procedure here

The dealer will do this but it's easier to buy the oil (9 qts) at HONDA only and take it to a oil change place with this procedure. I did it myself, it took 45 minutes and my cost was about $50. Figure $30 more for labor at a oil change joint.
