Nitrous actually performs better in hot weather as compared to FI. The only time nitrous will underperform is in cold weather, but that's nothing a $130 bottle heater can't fix.

We found out the hard way It was 100 degrees that day, in Portland

We'll have to get Matt down here in the fall when it's cooler, AND we'll run him in the twisties, advantage SC

We should plan the next WCM when it's cool in Reno. I wonder if Nitrous has an advantage over FI in high altitude though???

Would it be relatively safe for me to add a 50 or 75-shot to my car w/ the blower? Fuel issues?

With tuning. YES! Maybe do direct port with the S/C setup.

I'm not too sure if it would be safe. I've heard that a 50 shot on a FI motor has a doubling effect or the equivalent of 100 shot. Running 92 octane w/ HBP on a stock motor and then throwing Nitrous ontop would require quite a bit of work. As Brian said, with some tuning - serious tuning with fuel and timing.

Try a potato in one of his exhaust pipes

You should throw this out to Scalbert and pick his brain for options.

They're out there, you just have to make some phone calls. I thought i might have to fill up and also bring home a 5 gallon container for the next tank, but they're only 9 miles from my office, so i might as well just go there when it's time.

I'm still hoping Comptech will eventually do the ECU upgrade, then i can run HBP and 91 octane. Or, E-Manage and the intercooler down the road.

More like 2/3 - 1/3 11 gallons of 91 octane plus 6 gallons of 100 octane averages out to 94.2 octane. I'm gonna try and refill just before or at when the gas light comes on figuring 14 gallons needed and i'll do 9 gallons of 91 and 5 gallons of 100, that equates to 94+. If in doubt, i'll always err on the side of more 100, it can't hurt !!

Maybe we can all treat ourselves to some of this sweet nectar this Saturday before we run the Twisties. Is this station very far from the meeting place?

I definitely hope CompTech can do the ECU/ESM upgrade for our S/Cs. Hopefully, the ECU upgrade will add another 10 to 20 WHP on its own.
