Had to take my 99 2.3 5sp in for an oil change today (45 freakin bucks Canadian after tax for an oil change!! They say they're competitive too, I say rip off). Anyways, decided to go see if there was any 03 6 speeds around. They just got their first 3 in last week, and we test drove a blue one. Obviously going from 150hp to 260hp is quite the increase, and it was awesome! The acceleration sounds just like the commercial. At first I thought I'd have a bit of trouble with the clutch, but it only took a couple shifts to get accustomed to the engage point and then shifting was no problem. Finally Acura has released a manual transmission in the CL again! I love the gears: nice and close to each other, very nice shifting. I would love to buy this car, but saving for a house is the priority for a while. :'( In Canadian dollars it is 41,800 + 950 freight + 650 spoiler + taxes (14.5%) = just under 50,000. In US dollars that's just under 31K complete. We don't get navi though, so no option for that. Hmmm, so 50, minus my CL, minus some taxes, sigh... Maybe I can just go for test drives every couple weeks?
