Warranty Question

I just had my tranny replaced at about 15000...the dealer told me the trans that they put in is only under warranty until 50000...which means I only have about 35000 mile warranty on this "remanufactured" transmission. Is this right? I remember reading someone got an additional 50k mile warranty on their 2nd transmission. Is there anyone I can call on this or am I basically at the mercy of whatever this particular dealer deems fit?

well all i know is that any NEW part has a 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty on it regardless of existing warranty.

so i guess its about right. the new tranny should only be good till 50,000 miles or if you have the extended warranty which would make it 100,000.

lets say you only have the factory warranty and your tranny goes at or close to 50,000 miles than the new tranny will have a 1 year or 12,000 miles so you should be good if your tranny dies before you hit 62,000 miles...
