Warped Rotors Again...Legend Calipers?
I wanted to know if the Legend/NSX caliper upgrade has really prevented warped rotors. I have been reading about this upgrade for a while and wanted to hear from those that have done it. How long have you done the swap and what setup have you been using (pads, rotors, etc)
This is my second case with warped rotors (rotors seem to only last about two years). I would like to upgrade but the Legend/NSX calipersseems the most affordable on my budget. The setup I have now is Autozone rotors with Acura CL pads from the dealer. Also I do not drive agressive, well nothing more than what the car was made for.
I am also not interested in anything aftermarket that leaves a lot of brake dust and I am driving with my stock Type-S OEM wheels.

I think that your rotors might be part of the problem. You can find a lot of threads on here just about brakes.
I personaly don't know about the Autozone blanks, but even just using a different rotor can change the life of the your brakes a lot.
I actually just bought the legend calipers and am preping them to go on tom. I don't have long term answers for you, but I can keep you posted. My day to day driving is pretty normal, but I can be rough on brakes as well.

No I am running a package of slotted and drilled rotors. Here is the thread for the new brakes:

Your setup looks nice. Good Job. I hope you painted those calipers by now
It's also nice that they are covered for two years from cracking and warping.
Thanks for the information. Hopefully someone steps up that has a history.

Haha, its funny that you say that. Just re-painting them just wouldn't do. So i went for an upgrade!
