I've read about the proper break in procedures before. But where can anyone without access to a closed track do that? Repeated 60-5 mph near stops. Can't do that on the freeway. Most streets won't let you do 60. And most empty parking lots aren't big enough. Any ideas?

this procedure applies for
"high performance street pad--i.e. high performance after market discs"

stock rotors are hardly that..

I remember a week or two ago, someone mentioned performing such a procedure too, but I forgot where the link/article came from. Maybe bioyuki can chime in since he's been actively searching for aftermarket's

hmmm...interesting.

I used to drive a 98 civic...rotors "warped" at 15000 milies. Resurfaced them at 20,000 miles and they got "warped" again by 28,000 miles. I just though honda had shitty rotors, but maye the pads are crap.

Now I drive a 98 CL. I got the car used at 30k miles and it had "warped rotors." I resurfaced and replaced the pads with Axxis metal masters and I have been cool ever since.

Very interesting. Good link.

I notice Comptech makes pads for our car, but no rotors. Does that mean its OK to run their pads on stock rotors? I've already had the rotors resurfaced and pads replaced once under warranty. They warped (or whatever) again faster. I'm thinking of switching pads this time.
