VSA and Gas Mileage

Since I cannot search on 3 letter words, such as "vsa" and "gas", can someone tell me whether or not the VSA system in the 2001 CL-S uses extra gas when activated?
Now that it's spring, I'm thinking of shutting it off, unless it's raining outside, especially if it saves me some $ on gas!
Any ideas?

If you are driving fast enough to engage VSA (other than an emergency manouver), then THAT is what is wasting gas. Leave it on. If you need to suddenly swerve out of the way of something, you'll be glad it was there for you. I drive racecar's and I still leave it on. All it does it apply brakes when the car is losing control. Under normal driving, it isnt doing anything.

Its a passive system, so no it wont affect gas mileage unless you're doing something stupid. In which case, you're to be blamed
