No not true, VSA is traction control and does not effect the Vtec.
I would turn it off in the 1/4 because I would rather have a little wheel spin then have the engine cut power.

vsa is stability control as well as traction control i know this but when vtech kicks in it can sometimes be less effective when vsa is on because of tire correction thus making the vtech less potential. at least thats what i think and was asking around to see if that made any sense..

VTEC is unaffected by the VSA. What does happen is IF the tires spin the computer will try to stop it. It doesnt do it by effecting VTEC. Yes its better to turn it off inthe 1/4 just for the simple fact of wheel spin.
