valentine one 1.8 w/pop or w/o pop?

valentine one 1.8 w/pop or w/o pop?
i'm looking for a v1 and wanted to know if i needed the pop detection. i'm in so cal and have mixed reviews about the radars used in cal. some say pop is not used in cal and some say that got caught by it. does anyone know if pop detection is used in cali?

I'd post in the Car Talk forum. I've stopped using radar detectors but my V1 was just as good as any RadioShack detector when we tested it.

Yea right. Maybe in testing but in reality the two don't compare.
