V6 supercharger

I read an article about CompTech making a supercharger for V6 J engines. It looks like it might fit 1st Gen. 3.0's. Guess we'll have to wait until they put it on the website. It was in this Month's Honda Tuning.

Sorry to burst your bubble. Comptech has openly stated that the engine bay in the 1st gens is too small.

when was that stated.. the article and word has it that it is a bolt on to the 3.0 cl from the ACCORD... the SC for the type-S is too large for the 3.0... If this is a recent conclusiomn, I stand corrected, otherwise the SC does bolt right on with the mofictaions they provide for you!

this comes straight off comptech's forum

CO30CL: What about the 1st gen CL? Will the kit fit or be easily made to fit?

Mike B at Comptech: No, it will not fit and I don't think it would be very easy to try and adapt it.

he did and blew 2nd gear I think!!??

I just called COMPTECH and spokje with Joe.. they have not yet tested the SC in any other car other than the new Accord and it is rated as a 98-02 Accord SC kit... He said in the coming weeks they are planning to try it in various models tyo see the outcome, the 1st gen 3.0 being one of them. He said to cal lback and does not recommend spending the $$$ if there is no certainty. He slao said the motors and compartment from the 98 ACCORD and 3.0 CL are identical and the SC should bolt right on.. but tests are pending... There seems to be soome cinfusion and a mix-up from Comptech and its reps!!!!

You may have tlaked to Shad... not one of the more knowledgable ppl there...

They haven't testes it in anyhting but the accord? HA. For SEMA in vegas, they borrowed a CL from a local dealership, bolted the kit on and drove the thing to the show....
