V1 interference
those that have hardwired the V1, does it interfere with normal operation of ur visor? or do u somehow have them installed right over the rear view mirror and if so do the dots interefere with the V1?

Mine is over on the passenger's side. When my wife is riding shotgun, she constantly puts the visor down.
I don't know of any place it could be put where it'd be out of the way of the visor and still mounted high on the windshield.

Yes, where mine is mounted (see signature link) it limits the travel of the drivers side sun visor.
That’s why I wear sunglasses instead.

Has anyone had problems with V1 interference if you have metal tint on the sides and rear?
I'm considering investing in one, but don't know yet since I do mostly city driving. Even with the concealed unit, you still need the main one mounted up high, right?

Metal tint will alway be a problem, even the anti-fog treatment have metal particles. It all means in the reduction of performance no matter which one u buy.
Mine is mounted like ShawnS, just under the tint. I use to mount it just under the mirror, since I had remote display.
Off topic:
I has in AZ this past July. What a speeder's paradise. The HP always had their radar on even when hiding (at least when I was driving.) Long straights for Phoenix to Flagstaff or Tucson. Winding roads in Sedona and the Canyon.
The only problem was I was driving a 21foot RV. But I still had the V1.

Doesn’t matter what it is mounted to, but a higher position in the car gives it a better “view” down the road and out the back of the car.

I tried it on the driver's side for a while, since I don't use the visor. But I liked it more on the passenger's side, so my girlfriend will just have to wear sunglasses as well.
