V-AFC on a leased car?

I want to get a V-AFC for my car but its leased. Does this sound like a good idea to you guys?

What kind of warrany problems might I run into?

Whatever you do, you must be able to undo when you return the lease. Do a search on voiding warranties, there are plenty of explanations on how warranties cannot be automatically voided due to a mod. But youre gonna have to take that V-AFC out when/if you return that car. Fortunately, Chris from xephyr performanace (www.xephyrperfromance.com) is working on a nice custom kit that will allow you to interface the V-AFC with your ECU so you won't have to tap the wires, etc. That will allow for easy removal. As a side note: If this is your first mod, might I suggest a Cold Air Intake, since that will give you the best hp gain for the money. After you get a bunch of engine mods, then you will be able to reap the benefits of the V-FAC, IMHO of course ...

thanks for the info.

I already have a AEM CAI. I was thinking
V-AFC would be easier to take off then headers or some of the other mods.

If you want to install, get an adapter cable from Chris (Xepher) when it is ready.

If you really want it, wait. There will be stuff coming soon.

Just don't mess with the factory wiring harness

If you need to return the car at the end of the lease, you are really asking for it. Xepher (Chris) said he was coming out with an adapter, so email him. Or ask him when the "kit" will be ready.
