UR pulley or lightened pulley + boosted applications

I need a confirmation.
What is this i keep hearing about the possible -ve side effects of running a lightened pulley (UR crank pulley) on a boosted application (turbo/supercharged).....
..........some say it robs u of power and others say it destroys ur engine's (bottom end) especially in the long run (vibrations, harmonics etc)

ok (i think the same concern was shared in this post ..https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/pulley-blower-718882/)

I have the UR lightweight crank, power steering and HBP pulley on my S/C'd CLS-6 and have had no issues, in their regards to performance. My blower has 60K on it so far, 105K on the car. No particular harmonics or vibrations have been noticed.

I've had the boost gauge flash at around 6-7psi on spirited runs. That is where the installer programmed the gauge. I'm hoping there is about 300+whp. Never had it dyno'd though. The car is driven hard daily, but not to extreme. I need to keep this thing healthy for a long while, so far so good.

The lightweight crank pulley is the one from UR that is the stock diameter, BTW. Forgot to mention that.

I've read those other threads that mention issues with lightweight pulleys and decided, for myself, that they were not going to prevent me from going forward with the blower upgrade. When I finally had th S/C'er installed, I only had 5k left on the car warranty. I could'nt wait any longer, so I pulled the trigger and went for it. No regrets at all.

Great..now that puts a spin on it, so ur pulley is NOT the underdrive pulley.
OK.
boosted application + lightened pulley is OK as long as it is STOCK diameter I presume.
I wonder if it makes a big difference if it is a underdrive pulley

Yeah, you do not want to go underdrive because it will effect the boost psi, IIRC. There are threads out there in regards to this. Lightweight stock diameter, p/steering pulleys will help quicken rpm's with the blower.

^^ yes I think i will have to agree with u.
I think it only matters to superchargers becoause of the way it makes boost (rotational drag).... I dont think having an under drive pulley will affect the engine if it was a turbocharged engine....
after doing some reading I have come to this conclusion......

i also got this frm unorthodox racing website...........

STOCK DIAMETER
"

“THE ORIGINAL", the first of their kind in the sport compact aftermarket. Many customers have asked for a crank pulley without underdrive. They want to keep the stock speed for their alternators, power steering pumps, superchargers and water pumps. UR developed this version because the performance benefits of weight reduction outweigh the need for underdrive, especially for audio enthusiasts as some audio competitions require voltage to remain at a specific level. Stock diameter is also important for factory or aftermarket superchargers. These superchargers need the stock diameter to keep the same boost you had with the factory crank pulley. The reduced weight allows more power transfer to the drive wheels. So when you need a stock diameter pulley set don’t settle for cheap imitators go with “THE ORIGINAL". These pulleys are only available in polished finish only. Top

so it shud NOT matter if the car is TURBOED
