My dad works for UPS and he said just go in to the nearest distribution center you and raise hell. If your package has insurance, the price of the blades and the shipping costs will be refunded. If not, all you can get back is the shipping cost.

Oh... really, UPS was the shipper and should take responsibility for the damaged goods... It's freaking $44!... It should arrive un-damaged.... BTW, how should I know if it was insured? I ordered the thing and they shipped it to me....

I am still waiting for someone to call me.... by noon, if no one call I will at the UPS Distribution Center to sort it out....

Is UPS so cheap not to reimburse me for the fucked up wipers? :o

I think there is an automatic $100.00 coverage on UPS shipments.

This is correct. All packages shipped via UPS are automatically insured up to $100. Insurance purchased in excess of $100 is something like 35 cents for each additional $100 of insurance.

here how it goes...

1) I claimed the damaged item wiith UPS...
2) UPS will send paper forms to the shipper to claim the $44
3) I called the SilBlade.com so they can ship me another pair at no cost.
4) It should be here in 2 days..
5) I have to keep the wipers in my posession for 5 working days, in case UPS want to see the damaged item

It's a $100 Automatic insurance.

It is just more wait....

I was sent 20" and 24" wipers.... I needed 19" and 24" Boss at SilBlade.com said I can put on the 20" blade... he added it should fit.

I let him wait while I was double checking with Bocsh Application guide and indeed it should be 19" and 24"....

I hope I will get the pair by Saturday intact...

sometimes its not UPS fault. how was the blades packaged?

sometimes the seller might be careless with the packaging. something like wiper blades should be put in a big box filled with styrofoam peanuts...

It was in triangular shaped packages and NO styrofoam peanuts...

It could be that too... it was bent in the middle as if someone steped on it...

Ok, I don't want to say anything bad about UPS, but, *cough*, they blow, *cough*.

I ALWAYS have problems with them (that and there "bend over the table and let us give it to ya" brokerage charges they stiff us with when packages cross the US/Canada border.

Here's another UPS one for ya:
I ordered a package from California. I usually just USPS it to Canada (takes a week for delivery and customs). Ok, this time I *REALLY* wanted it, so I UPS'ed it 2nd day air (guaranteed delivery, or free shipping!) Yeh, right. I tracked it with the number, it takes 2 days from California to Canada. Then it hit's cutsoms. Turns out UPS didn't collect all the necessary paperwork, so it's delayed 4 days. And then to boot, I have to pay an additional $40 to get it out of brokerage! Ok, so now it's 4 days late, I'm out an additional $40, and it cost me more to ship than USPS (which would have delivered in the same time!)

So I check the tracking number again. They claim the shipping was "delayed due to inclimate weather". WTF!?!? I live in Calgary, it was 75 F, clear and dry the entire time! So for shits and giggles I called them on it. I got a "ummm.. ya... probably fog". Whatever!

That's why when I want something shipped, I pick FedEx or even USPS. If I want to see brown, I'll check my shorts.

Few Minutes ago, the UPS man was on the door.. same triangular shaped package in his hands... It looks in very good shape...

Signed off, back inside....I opened the box and saw black on black :duh: it is not the Ultra... It is the regular one... $38 vs $44...

I ordered the Ultra Carbon fiber "look" and and got the regular one

Now I give up on geting this order done right...
