Updates on my crash recovery

I have been without my ride since 3/26 and the body shop is almost done. I should be getting my car back on Saturday the 17th. I have taken many pics showing the different stages of repair on my website. I know there was a lot of talk of totalling it out but I am confident that the shop is doing whatever it can to do this repair correctly. Take a look at the pics and provide any relevant feedback. Thanks

I went through missing my car when I got rear-ended. Are you getting the entire car re-painted? Can't wait to see the finished product.

Did the insurance not total it out? Or did you choose to keep it & fix it?

Wow, I can't believe that's not totaled.

Good luck with it but I'll be honest with you... I used to work in a body shop and I've seen jobs like that. Your car will probably never been the same again. IMHO, I wouldn't drive a car repaired like that 10 feet in any direction. If I were you, I'd sell that thing ASAP after getting it back. You're resale value will more than likely severely decrease as well though.

If that's the case, than his insurance company should pay him with a deminished value check.

No because it goes off of the condition of the vehicle right before the accident took place along with the current market value.

I have learned quite a bit about this after totaling my F-150. I wish I had known then what I know now, I would have squeezed more juice from my insurance company. I've leanred now that I could have haggled them out of a little more $$$ becasue the truck was in perfect condition.

Yeah of course the body shop doesn't want to total it, because if they fix it they get a fat insurance check... my buddy wrecked his Chrysler 300 9 months ago and he's in a huge legal battle with the shop that fixed it because it did like 26,000 worth of damage and they wouldn't total it
