Unit-Body and Frame construction
I'm clueless when it comes car construction. What is the difference between Unit-Body and Frame construction. When I was talking to the body shop about whether my car had frame damage he said cars are now built Unit-Body and don't have frames. I don't know what that means. I figured it has to have some kind of frame right?? I think trucks are built on frames right??

Frames are what most trucks are typically based on. Older car have frames as well. The frame is a steel contructed boxed (sometimes not a box but a "C") shape structure that the suspension and body bolt to. The nice thing about a frame is it's independent from the body. There are rubber body mounts for the body to attach to the frame. As far as Unibody's are concerned, they're essentially a frame that is welded into the body of a car. They also tie into portions of the roof and other areas to make the vehicle safer in a roll over situation. If you were ever in a wreck, a car with a unibody is much harder to fix when frame damage is present. If you're into custominzing cars, frames are so much better to work with. At least if you're one who likes vehicle extremely low, or high. With unibody's you're once again limited.
