Typical gas mileage on CL-S

Hey,

I'm wondering what kind of gas mileage other peoples are getting on their CL-S. I'm doing mostly city driving and my number is only around 18 to 19 MPG. It's kind of lower than what Acura claims for city MPG but I do lots of heavy driving so it figures. For those who have installed the after-market air filter, is there any improvement to your gas mileage?

I get 20mpg in the city. On the highway there is a major increase up to around 30mpg or more. Neither headers nor air filter seem to affect mileage at all. Putting on fat, sticky tires cut my mileage by about 20-30 miles per tank.

I've had my CL-S for two months and put on about 3300 miles. My gas mileage as calculated at each fill up has been as low as 23.5 and as high as 26.5 MPG with the overall average at an even 25 MPG.

I'd estimate that about 35% of the miles I've racked up so far have been freeway cruising. The other 65% is from my commute on mildly congested county roads averaging around 50 MPH.

Got a little over 14,000 miles on mine. I drive about 75% freeway (70+ mph) and the rest is averaging around 30 mph (in traffic and around town). I usually get around 25.5 to 26.5 mpg with 92 octane. My spirited driving consists of racing out of the toll booth and passing jackasses who sit in the fast lane doing 55 while on their cell phones.

I got 30 mpg on the way to Las Vegas last weekend. This was done at mostly 80+ mph! I average around 21-23. This is about 50/50 highway and city.

When I first get my car, I usually test mine 0 ~ 60 at every single traffic light. at the time I was doing about 15 Mpg.

So, don't worry. 19 Mpg looks fine. but I am getting alot better mileage now since I don't drive that crazy anymore.

I've noticed a huge difference in mileage relating to the position of my right foot. If I can resist "the force" and the great feeling of being pressed into the seatback, I average 22-24mpg --50% stop & go, 50% interstate. The reason we do so well if we don't engage in "stoplight gran prix" has to be 4th gear.

I do not know why... but is consistent 21MPG for me. 100-120 miiles each week are on Freeway doing some 70+.... so go figure

Best I guess that I did in single 300 miles trip was 26MPG.

I do almost 100% city driving with a 2 mile commute to work so I do lots of gas-sucking short trips. I still average 20mpg although it ranges from 19-22mpg. On a road trip I've gotten as high as 30mpg.

i do about 55/45 (hwy/city) and usually average 21-23mpg. my all time best was 30mpg (avg) when i went up from DC to NY, which includes some city dribing). i'm prety much happy if i can get 320 right when the gas warning light turns on.

My last calculation was for 314 miles with a 50/50 highway & city commute. I averaged 23.79 mpg. On the hihgway i've been averaging 80 mph and in the city (or I-270 in am/pm rush hour) about 30mph stop-n-go.

This seems pretty good to me since i just passed the 1200 mile mark and have been blasting it since 1000 at every stoplight/sign.

I've got 6600 miles on my CL-S and it's averaging 20mpg/city and 28mpg/hwy. I have a tendancy to mash the pedal quite often.

15,550 on mine and the average is about 25 MPG with 19 low and 29 high. It's hard to keep your foot out of it but having snows on helps. WITH VSA, it has very little traction from a standing start.

I've got almost 12K on my car.

I am now averaging between 23-26 mpg. I just filled up this morning here are the results

338.7 miles, filled up with 13.39 gallons of petrol
338.7 / 13.39 = 25.295 mpg

This is with everyday morning Dallas traffic, 12 mile drive that takes about and hour in stop-and-go. Highway about 40% of the time.
