7800 rpms! Better change to hi-perf valve springs or valve float and breakage will be occuring! Great idea though! Keep up the great mod ideas!

suprisingly, hondas stock springs are pretty strong, I think they would handle 7800 RPM for some time.

It was not intended, missed a 3rd to 4th shift and wound up in 2nd. But I never fully engaged the clutch so it didn't go as high as it could have.

I later scanned the ECU and an over rev code was set with a snap shot value of 8013 RPM or something close to that.

Below is a video where you can actually hear it. It is just slightly before crossing the line (not the bang on the bleachers):

Done at the drag strip racing my father-in-law in his SC430 late last September. Enter CL-S6 just after the 1000 foot mark:

CL-S6: grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Mother-in-law: "What was that" (in a southern dialect)

Who needs a sound card or speakers...

I personally don't care about the engine/drivetrain warranty on my car... but if that is a big concern... then don't do this mod or most any other semi-internal mod!

most of us here probally really don't care about that. If you are willing to open the motor up, you are willing to void any warranty.

I know with the displacement of this engine we'll never have the kind of torque a bigger motor will provide us, but hey, there's always the bigger 3.5 or some possible future block upgrade that would do the trick.
