TSX Steering Wheel

So my girlfriend's sister just bought an 05 TSX. Currently on the boat so she gets it next week. Looking through the brochure I was admiring the steering wheel.

Anyone have any idea if it would fit on an 01 CLS? Here's a picture and a closeup of what the radio controls look like.

I think it could look nice on the CLS - but I have yet to see it in person yet.

Thoughts?

Would it fit,

Will the controls work? Probably

You won't be able to just swap the radio and cruise modules, they're the wrong shape and size. And I doubt they would work if you just plugged the TSX controls in.

And I have no clue about the airbag.

Personally, I'd love to see an RSX or TSX wheel on a CL. I think it would be a perfect compromise. Do I have the BALLS to do it, "oh hell no". Maybe you could be the first. A trendsetter. Just be careful if ya do.

It would look great, but what's the point of spending all of that $$$ for a steering wheel that is going to have looks and no funtion, remember, just for getting that airbag to work on the CL is going to be some bucks, use the money for some other mods my

To be honest, the airbag never entered my mind. And if the rest is not plug and play, then I guess I'll bag it. Sucks since it would look pretty nice in my opinion.

you can do anything you put your mind to...

I highly doubt it is plug and play.... but it can be wired up and be functional if you want to tackle the task...

and like you said.. you did not see it in person.. it might not even match the CL-S leather

I'd really really like to see the finished project. There are a couple other posts hidden around here with the same frame of mind. I even thought about it before, but wasn't up to the task.

The problem with doing it is it's more than just a steering wheel. I'd love to do something like that, just not looking to blow $500 on a new airbag to fit my new steering wheel.

Speaking of S2000 steering wheels. I had a good friend of mine (Ex-Honda tech) install an '02 S2000 wheel on my old '95 Accord. Didn't exactly plug and play. He had to soder the connecting clip to the wiring from my old wheel. But everything plugged in and worked fine. The cruise worked, and so did the horn.
