TSB 01-017 dated 29 Oct, 2001

For the people that have used TSB01-017 dated October, 29 2001 have the alleged brake improvements helped long term? BTW TSB01-017 is to refinish front brake discs, and install the updated pads. I had my CLS’ rotors trued at 19k miles. Now at 34k miles they need it again. However, I really don’t care to have ACURA mess with the car unless it’ll do some long term good!

I used the TSB early on and now have over 64K miles without a problem. I was really pissed when my front rotors warped at less than 20K. I demanded new rotors but the Acura dealer told me the new pads and a resurface would take care of the problem. I was not convinced but he was right.

That's great to hear! In that case I'm going to make an appointment and go for it. I'm tired of these sorry warping breaks. With any luck I can be done with this nonsense!
