Tranny HP/TQ limit

Does anyone have specs on the maximum HP and TQ the input shaft of the 6-Speed and the auto can handle?

I'm just curious if one was going to buy the Comptech S/C, how much play room there was.

For my truck it was easier, since GM Performance publishes tech sheets on their engines and trannies (but then they get retro-fitted into older vehicles).

The Level-10 guys said the gears were good for around 300-400 HP and ft-lb.

As for the rest of the parts -- I haven't a clue.

i can tell you the weakess part in the CL is the transmission. that is about with all Hondas. the motor 9 times out of 10 will outlast the transmission in Hondas/Acuras.
it's just their weak part. and i'm not talking down on Honda/Acuras cause they make a hell of car.

so our trannys are pretty strong? so the tranny problems is due to design?

Something about a miss-designed part or something that caused increased wear, and then metal filings would plug an orfice, causing it to screw up.

Hmmm... So they are supposed to be strong.

It would be nice to see a spec sheet on them.
