Looking down on the drivers side of the engine bay under the large wiring harness, really hard to see, really hard to get at.

I removed a small hose that connected those two points. These hoses replace that small hose and route the trans fluid to the cooler.

80 is a cool day here. It is cool today and is 85 but that's because it's going to rain so it is 50% humidity.

I noticed a slight drop in the temp gauge during the winter when I first did it (winter here is 50-60)

I was also looking into gettin a tranny cooler but alot of people said that HOT fluid was not killing the tranny. I think Warm fluid gooing through the Tranny is ALOT better then hot fluid floing through the tranny?
Was the install hard? How long did it take u? DId u go with the comptech tranny cooler? Did u have to add fluid to compinsate fo the extra hose and tranny the fluid flows through, if so how much?
Sorry for all the questions but i been on the fence about doing this for like 2 years!

I dont have a camera right now but my pics will look the same as everyone else

The problem with our transmission has nothing to do with the heat this is true but I have heard it will double the life of your transmission so it doesnt hurt

Wasnt hard took about an hour the hardest part was figureing out which line to pull the pics are not greeat but its the only hose behind the intake if that helps

I went with a genaric cooler mine was about 12" /18"

I checked the fluid its in the normal range but a little low so im going to add probably a 1/2 quart when I have time to go to honda/acura Dlr

If you take a pic I will mark which hose to disconnect if you want

For sure but dont be scared its easy just make sure you have extra hose because I had to go get some in the middle of the install you need about 8'

I garuntee you wont pull the wrong hose because there is only one hose and I bet (like me) you are looking at it going is that the right hose well it is so pull it off already

P.S. I wasnt even sure when I got it off if it was the right one or not so I cut it open and put some of the fluid on a whit piece of paper just to make sure

The easiest way to do this is take a pic so you know what the pic is of then I will show you eactly what line to pull

There is honestly only one line in that location and even if you pulled the wrong one its easy to replace because you will have the line for it

PS I put the line off , if there is next to no fluid in it. it is OK there is barley any in it when it not running

Im looking at the original pic that e30 posted and its kinda of confusing because there is two lines but when you start there is only one about 6-7" long so just keep this in mind when looking at the pic that he posted

Bringing up an old thread.

I installed a trans cooler a few weeks ago and man it makes a nice difference for driving. The car shifts much more consistently even after an hour+ driving in stop and go traffic. It is a great mod for anyone considering it. I spent less than $100 when all said & done. $30 for the Hayden cooler, $30 for ~11 ft of 3/8s line and ~$30 for Honda ATF (decided to do a 1x drain and refill while I was adding the cooler).
