TPS sensor replacment, PB acura

I went to go get my TPS sensor replaced at Palm Beach acura, because it was reading low voltage. It has been there for a day now and they just called me to say that they need to replace he whole throttle body!! Because it is part of the TPS. I dont think this is right. Anyone suggest what I should do? I think i just need a TPS sensor, correct? The tech also said I have an aftermarket throttle body... B.S.. So i dont think they know what they are talking about.
Quick help please!

They are correct. The TPS is part of the TB & isn't available separate.

For the aftermarket TB portion I have no clue. Have you messed with it? Does it look different? Do you have a 6mt? Cause they may think it's different cause there's no VSA & hence the TB looks different. I'm sure they don't work on many 6mt cl's.

I had ok luck with PB Acura, but haven't been there in a long time. There was this guy Patrick I think his name was, he was an Indian looking young guy. He was a good guy & knew his stuff cause he had a CLS.

I'd really give this a try if your having problems. It is a slight gamble, but if the diminsions are the same, which i'd believe they are, then it should work. Personally, I'd gamble the 90.00 or so bucks.

disclaimer... your on your own.

"Each of our sensors have a security logo in the mold to ensure its a genuine Omnipower product."

So they are just reselling Omnipower TPS Sensors.

your right. Ive done my searching and there are NO TPS sensors that will apply to our cars. The good news is that I found one in a junk yard database. uneedapart.com, put out in a request for a 01 CLS throttle body and they have one availible for $125. thats the best option at this point. SLy should try this.

IMO $270 for a brand new throttle body complete with ALL sensors.. worth it than having to switch over your used IAC and such, which tends to go bad as well.
