touch up paint question
I really need to get several chips on my car touched up. I have some pretty good chips from rocks on the highway and parking lot a$$holes slamming their door into my car. I am scared if I got touch up paint that I would mess it up and make it look worse. My questions:
Is touch up paint easy to do yourself?
Or, should I take it in to the dealer and let them do it, and if so, how much $ does this usually cost?

No matter what steps you take, touch up paint on a finish just won't look right. If the chips are high up on the car, I say leave 'em. The touch up paint will only make it look worse. Unless the chips are deep enough to where the primer is showing, which could then rust out. Then I'd try to touch them up,
Taking it to the dealer??? It can't hurt to at least ask them what they think. I had them touch up one area, rather high on my driver's door, and I wish I would have left it alone. It's tough to make it look GOOD, short of repainting the entire panel.

I tried langka last week
It really worked very well. At least with the Anthricite. Fill in the Chip. Leave it alone for a couple of days then apply the langka remove the blob and use a litltle clearcoat. I cannot see the chip unless I look very closely. I used to use the maguires fine sanding block to remove the blob. For get about it the langka is way better. And I was very skeptical about the product. Good luck!
