Totota Camry most stolen vehicle in US
on Bloomberg this afternoon...
"Toyota's Camry was the most stolen US vehicle last year because its bumpers and other parts are interchangeable, a new report by the National Insurance Crime Bureau found...Camry models from 1989 through 1991 were the 3 stolen most often, with Honda's 2000 Civic coming in 4th...the 1990 model Camry was the most often stolen in 2000. Reports exclude thefts of parts such as radios. The 2000 Civic placed first among stolen cars in a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration study released last week, with 1,807 stolen in 2000."

Not sure if they ever get scrapped for parts, but that COULD be a factor too...
