Torsion bars

Hey all,

I know this subject has been talked about a good bit, but I'm running into a problem and could use some help. I have tried multiple setups to try and replace the trunk torsion bars with struts, but have not found an answer. Like many of you, I upgraded my speakers and added a wing and now my trunk will not stay open and the bars rub my speakers. It looks like the only answer is to go to the stronger black torsion bars. The only problem is that everywhere I look to find a set, they have been discontinued! Does anyone have a link to a place that sells the stronger, black torsion bars? thanks all!

Check a junk yard?

http://car-part.com searches junk yards all over (or just your home state/city).

If you search, you can find the part number for the stronger bars, that might make it easier to find some.
But if your stock ones are rubbing, then black bars will rub your speakers too because they fit in the same location.
